Sadly I hadn't seen Erica in recent years, which I much regret, but I have fond memories. As well as music, we bonded over our mutual involvement in the horse industry; many an interval at the Wigmore Hall was spent catching up on equestrian gossip. As with everything else that interested her, Erica was extremely well informed and wise; her kindness to all beings, four legs or two, knew no bounds. RIP.

We have known each other für more than 60 years and you always were my very best friend. I miss you and I will never forget you. With love
